firing problems...... HELP!
I was out racing the 7 at the local drags today and as I was coming back to the pits after a run the motor out of nowhere just started acting funny. I just put new MSD blaster coils on Yesterday. We checked the spark at the coils and one was really good and the other had next to no spark. So I put the stock coils on and it's still doing the same thing. So now we think it could be the ignitor? Heres another piece to the puzzle, The tachometer isn't working now, but sometimes it will Fluctuate. I don't think it's the rotor loosing compression cause of the tach problem. That would have nothing to do with the rotor I guess........ Any help would be greatly apreciated! Thanks guys!!
By the way all the guys at the drags LOVED the risingsun sunroof, and one guy even asked me if the 7 had a three cylinder engine! lol
I'll see if I
can get a couple clips up of the 7 racing. I nearly beat a supercharged cobalt. It was pretty fast, I had him half the track lenght! lol

you might have just knocked your trailing ingitor loose if your tach is intermittently working... try pulling them off and checking the contacts and then using dielectric grease when you reinstall them.
Not promising anything.. but might as well start out simple.
Good Luck
