Both work well. For a cowl to be fully effective the cowl needs to be right near the base of the windshield. Take a look at a factory chevelle hood. This scoup worked effectively on a 454 build chev 1/2 ton running mid 12's in the 1/4. Huge difference compared to under hood temps for me, the camden builds enough heat on it's own.
