Wow, 29k miles and its in that condition in the interior. Well, the sun is pretty bad for cars sitting outside. Hope everything works out with it, and post some pics

Woohoo! Congratulations, I just picked up my '83 on Saturday. I had to replace my hatch struts, so I went to Autozone and picked up some Mightylift struts. $6.99 a piece, and they came with all of the mounting hardware. The bad part besides me not expecting them to last long, is that they only had one in stock. So if your store has one in stock and they order the other one, bring the first one back with you to compare to the one that was shipped in. I didn't, and now I have one with a black shaft and a silver one, and a ~2-3mm difference in length when extended.

Check your drains on your rear hatch too. Mine were clogged and filled up the base of the hatch with water. Stick small object into holes (lightly there is a rubber hose attached inside the car), check with water.

Good luck with you '7

I was a bit shocked myself when I bought them, I showed up prepared to shell out $60 or something, and I ended up spending $14. Even the guy working there was suprised.

He hasn't picked it up yet to get pictures of it.

Although, when I bought my rx7's I didn't even tell anyone on here because I didn't have a digital camera to show off my cars.

Damn. Seeing that interior makes me miss my '83 running that much more.

Must focus on only owning one rx7... Must sell my '83.

Wow, all you need aesthetically is paint, seats, and the missing carpet in the rear. That is a SUPER clean looking car otherwise.

Oh snap, and that color of your car. Please do me a favor, and when you get it repainted, keep that color as the color you go with... Damn, my favorite color... just like my '83....

Is it black or is it the Tornado Silver?

In other words, what is the paint code on the firewall on the passenger side of the engine bay?
