Yeah, found that out FOR SURE today. I put in the F16's and 235 jets, still leans out at the same time. What size fitting do I need to get for the drain plug?

i was thinking it a fuel delivery issue, almost seems as the boost is pushing your fuel out . do you have a fuel pressure gauge installed? can you tell if the pressure is rising as the boost is? and is your car fuel bowl seeing the boost?

I think the problem is a combination of not enough fuel getting to the carb, and that the brake booster is connected to the same runner as the pressure regulator. I'm gonna make it so the brake booster has it's own intake runner to get vacuum from. And I'm gonna put a fitting in the gas tank drain pluig for the fuel pickup.

Whats up COLDY! I havent been on here for a while, been busy reconstructing my car, so with your fuel setup, using the drain on the tank? Isnt that a dangerous place? Just thinking that when you jack up the rear end, hit a bump, or speed bump, maybe the fitting could snap off. Maybe not though. I would recommend removing your gas tank, and welding in a 3/8 hard line following the stock gas lines. 3/8 should easily support your horsepower, which is max at about 300 or less. 5/16 should support a heck of alot more too. I bet your pump and supply are great (911 turbo pump, yeah that should do it!) but with you fuel pressure reg setup with the brake booster, I did the same thing on mine and the pressure was waaaay off due the the constant volume the brake booster needs. Make sure to get a fuel press gauge! They are $30 bucks, and you have way too much money in the motor to skimp out on the cheap information they provide. Anyway, let me know when you get it running, as SHM21284 wants to race you soon! haha!

The new fitting for the gas tank will be on the car tomorrow. Today I changed the vacuum lines. Now the brake booster has it's own runner, and everything else is getting vacuum from the primary on the rear rotor, and the secondary on the front. Changing that made it run much better. The stock fuel tank pickup SUCKS though. The second my gas gauge dropped below 1/4 it ran like complete ****. I managed to get it home driving at about 55mph, any faster and it would lean out 'cause the pickup started sucking air. I'll post again with the results after the new fitting is in.

Fitting is in, drives MUCH better. Still not perfect, cutting out at high rpm, but it sounds slightly different than the detonation I've been getting. It may be getting too much fuel now that the pickup doesn't suck *****. I'm gonna try going with a smaller jet tomorrow and see if the problem gets better or worse. Right now it doesn't cut out until 6k in 4th, or 5k in 5th at WOT.

Also, I just got all new tires BF Goodrich COMP T/A'a or T1's or something. They grip much much better than what I've had on the car. Now once I get the new suspension on the car will handle awesome.

So far so good, running great. Still only running 6psi. Before I up the boost I'm going to run it all the way to 8k in 5th to make sure it never runs lean at this boost level. I'm gonna try to get some dyno time so I can play a bit more with the jetting to get the most power out of it It is driving great right now though. Idles perfect at 800(nice brap to it ) and there is no lag or bog when getting on boost.

Because MSD works better. I've got everything here to do one, but I got an MSD off ebay for $70 shipped. The spark from the MSD is quite a bit stronger than from a DLIDFIS.

Hmm, seems like my weber hates the BOV. When I had it connected any time I was boosting hard and shifted it would run lean and pop for a couple seconds before it would pick up again. So I disconnected the BOV, and now it pours a bunch of fuel into my engine when I shift, just a VERY slight bog from going too rich. I think that bog might be because it's jetted pretty damn rich right now though, so when I get the jets right it should run perfect

Yes, the BOV makes my car run like **** and bog horribly between shifts. The flutter sounds cool, but I'm only running 8psi right now so it's quiet. It should get much louder when I up the boost to max(somewhere between 13-16psi). **** turbo life, gotta run it the way it works best I tried keeping the BOV, but refrencing the FPR to the IC piping instead of the manifold. That helped between shifts, but would flood the carb very badly at idle.
