Finally, NEW PICS!!!

I finally got around to taking some pictures of my new turbo setup. This one cost a bit more than my old nikki setup, but it's well worth it.

Drivers side:

Passenger side:

Closer view of manifold:

Closer view of MSD:

Ghetto IC, two TII cores welded together:

Link to my cardomain site is in my sig, but this is just a copy of the first page on there, the rest of the pages are my old setup.

Here's the mod list, the suspension isn't on the car yet, but in a couple weeks it will be.

1985 GS
12a streetport- RotaryShack Apex seals, Hayes coolant seals
TII turbo
Weber 48 DCO-SP
Custom Intake Manifold
GSL Rearend
Tockico Illumina struts
ST springs and swaybar
SouthBendClutch Ceramic 6puck clutch, sprung hub
Tyfoon BOV(no name ricer place, but it was $50 and works good)
2.5" stainless exhaust
13x7 diamond racing wheels with yokohama DOT legal slicks

Yeah, I really should, but it probably won't happen until it stops working. Right now my coolant temp gauge stays at 1/3 no matter how it's driven. I know the oil is still hotter than it should be, but it works and doesn't leak. Same with the clutch fan, it works fine, no need to change it.

Jets and tubes aren't here yet, and there's no gurantee they will work. Should be here monday or tuesday and I'll try them the second they come. If the F2's dont work then I think I'll just use a huge jet and air bleed with the F11.

Just testing it. I've had a problem with a bit of pressure building up in the gas tank. So I just took off those lines to see if it was a problem with the canister, or with the take vent in the rear. Havn't driven it enough yet to tell for sure, but I think the canister is clogged.

They look really close to the turbo in the pic, but those zip ties are actually far enough away that they don't get much heat. Near the turbo I used metal clamps just like the ones on the radiator hose and IC piping.

Yep, I made the manifold, hat, IC, exhaust, mounting brackets and throttle cable bracket, and lots of other small stuff. Most anything that I though I could make instead of buying it I did.

At 6psi, running lean as hell, and can't rev past 5.5k or it leans out too bad, I beat my dad driving his G35 6sp manual. I'm waiting on some new emulsion tubes to try(F2). It's running WAY lean with the jets Robert usually uses for this kind of setup.

I used a lot of different things for IC pipes. I traded a friend a couple milled adapter flanges for some HKS aluminum bends(90deg and 120deg) and a bunch of silicone connecters. I used some straight aluminum tube, and for the other couple bends I needed I used 2" mandriel bent exhaust tube from jegs. Yep, just one MSD 6a on leading.

It really helped, when I checked the spark, spark on the leading plugs is much stronger than on the trailing. But the biggest difference in feel was getting a good cap and rotor. My old cap must have gotten hit when I was working on something else and was cocked to the side just enough for the rotor to hit it and knock off a couple of the contact points. I got a new cap and rotor and put on the MSD at the same time, so between those two things the ignition system is MUCH stronger than before.

So am I. Once it feels like it's running right I'm probably gonna take it to the rx-7 store and put it on their dyno.

well since your using the stock turbo the numbers wont be very impressive, what you need to make good power with a streetport is a upgraded turbo! the stock turbo wont make enough cfm's to feed the streetport with enough air....its upgrade time!!!
p.s. your leanout problem isnt the jetting, its a problem with fuel delivery
