Smile Finally had a dyno day!

Hi guys,

Just thought I'd share, cause I'm pretty happy. On saturday just passed, the rotary club I'm a member of had our first dyno day. We had 14 cars (mostly rotaries) do a couple runs each to get power figures.

My car made 178rwkw (239 rwhp) which I was very happy with. Standard series 5 motor, running a S2 dizzy and a fuel only Microtech ECU. Power was made at ~11psi, and at about 7100rpm. This is after a tune by Rice Racing. The AFRs were a very steady 11:1 throughout the run, and the curve looked beautiful. I don't have a scanner, so theres a delay on getting the graph in electronic format.

Anyway, i'm very happy with that so thought I'd share.

Yep, it's just a standard motor, straight off the crate from Japan, and into the engine bay. Externally, there's an ECU as already mentioned, a 2.5" exhaust, a big front mount I/C and an air filter... Plus more boost of course!

stock turbo? What kind of intercooler and do you have any pics of the intercooler? Thanks! Sounds like a nice power to have for the car!

According to his signature and website, it's a stock turbo, and a Rice Racing intercooler. Congrats on the numbers.

Yes, as 1stgen4life mentioned. The I/C is the same as Setzep's so a quick search should find some pictures of his. I don't actually have any of mine.

Thanks guys, it gives a good baseline number for future mods. To see what improvements various things do.
