finally achieved the long awaited starting of my 7!!
well after much trouble, time and money i finally started my 7 for the first time since ive owned it yesterday. i have a few bugs i need to work out and a couple things i need to do suspension and brake wise before i can drive it. i hope to have everything finished this weekend. i meant to take pics of most of the process as there are a few good write-ups i could have done, but being my first major project i had other worries.
here are a few specs on the car:
1980 charcoal grey exterior w/ black interior
13b 4 port, streetport, with S5 NA internals
dellorto 48
2nd gen oilcooler
gslse full suspension
respeed 5 lug conversion with T2 brakes and adapters on the rear
Work Equip 16x7 and 16x8 wheels
pics and more details to come in the near future
oh yeah, on a side note. i did everything to this car. it wasnt bought with these mods. pretty much nothing is the same on the car as when i bought it except the tranny and rearend.

CONGRATS-- I'm really happy for you, I jsut got my first one running yesterday-- lots of rebuilding, lots of learning. I Think i know how happy you are about it, because I know how happy I am about mine
What all did you have to do? I bought mine in Denton, texas june 24, and have been trying to make it run everysince, I just drove it 35 miles yesterdfay, and I think I've got the bugs worked out!! took long enough.
I've never owned a rotary engine before, and knew nothing about them, but with the help of some nice people on this forum, and a few friends who didnt mind getting dirty with me, it's a working vehicle now!!!!!!!!! whoo-hoo. no small feat after the thing was sitting in a pasture for 3 yrs...
congrats again-

It's a satisfying experience to bring a car back from the dead. When I got my 7 running after sitting in a friends garage for 6 years, it felt so rewarding. Good job on bringing another first gen back to life!

well i bought this car with a 74 13b in it. i then changed it to a street ported 4 port 13b with S5 NA internals. redid the whole fuel system, added a dellorto 48, carter pump and holley regulator. converted the car to 5 lug with 2nd gen 4 piston calipers. added koni reds to the front. added a 2nd gen oil cooler.
in the next couple weeks i will be adding a 2nd gen koyo radiator, front and rear spring perches and possibly bilstein struts.

Congratulations on getting it running, now fix the brake lines and enjoy that beast. I want to see this car as well. Hearing stories of cars getting back on the road always make me happy, so a huge congratulations goes out to you. I can't wait to see pics.
