final blow through q's (holley, rrfpr, carb bonnet, etc)

ok ive got a street ported 12a and am going to go blow through turbo very very soon. need to know what size carb to get. hopin for 10+psi eventually, will run the stock 5psi that the wastegate im getting is set to for now. ive got the rb holley kit with the 465 cfm carb with vac secs and auto choke. im thinkin a holley 600 dp ( http://store.summitracing.com/partde...LY%2D0%2D4776C ) should be fine.

why you ask? cause 465 is for my na and i figure why not go bigger for boost. thats correct i pulled 600 cfm outta my bum. my buddy has a streeported gsl-se motor anyone recommend a holley carb size for him at stock s5 tII levels?

ive done some reading that i need mech secs, mech choke, and solid nitrophyl floats. i guess i'll run premix. any other mods i missed?

btw i think the good ole mallory 4309 has been replaced with a better unit: http://www.centuryperformance.com/de...T_ID=MAL-4307M

found a better and cheaper carb pressure bonnet than the k&n piece, i'll let you guys know how it works out. http://voice.htmlplanet.com/page2.html goin with the 10351 for 84 bucks

will keep you guys informed

Just stick with the carb you have now!! Convert it to mech secondarys, ditch the choke, and plum the metering pump into the manifold.

You should stay with the smaller carb, since carburators rely on pressure drop to meter fuel. The 465 would be just perferct if not a little on the big side. A 600DP in a blow through app is usually used on twin turbo small blocks and stuff running in the neighborhood of 600-700 hp.
