fender flares??

fender flares??

I just bought some 280 zg fender flares for my gsl-se. i mean they wern't a bad deal i paid 190 with shipping. so my question is did any 1 tackle this project on, of do you guys think im crazy for trying this.

I was orginally going to do this, but decided not to for asthetic reasons... and unwillingness to do body mods.

We definately need pics. I'm curious to see how well they suit the car.

Considering the price differential, I'm rather partial to my $20 VW Cabrio flares tho.

For 190 bucks, I would have expectations of them being a direct bolt on. But us 1st genners aren't that lucky. Find MosesX605's pics of his flares, excellelant results. Dave Wilcox also has a recent thread on his that he made from scratch, again, excellent results.

My Cabrio flares. Minor trimming was required on the bottoms of all 4 but otherwise they fit quite nicely.

Where did you get them? Post pics of them not installed..

They are not ZG flares. They are CP racing flares. The mounting and dimensions are totally diffeent on design. I have seen both in person. Everyone that's selling the ZG flares are slightly different. Modifications are still needed to line up flush with the 1st gens.. I just wanted to know which company he got them from and a pic of them not installed.

They're both pocket flares, so they both go on the same way... The CP flares don't just line up either. They had to be modified o fit as well.
