I dont really socialize much with people in the neighborhood so i dont think it was one of my neighbors & dont have any girl who hate me or i have dissed that would do that i haven't really been dating & my psycho friend doesnt travel to my neighborhood and atleast not to key my car. So i think it was some bored A hole with nothing better to do saw the car all shiny & just had to do it
Ummm I think it's about 45 mins, maybe less, Im really not sure seeing as how i never go there from the city. Just let me know in advance if you wanna use it, and I can get intouch with some people. Yeah but i dont know any girls from my neighborhood so that seems to cancel it out. As for the meet Im thinking by May everybody should have there projects complete it's after Income tax time so we should work out some dates & post it here & see what the Rotary Public thinks. Have them bring stuff to BBQ so we dont look like we are having some meet lol . Just meat to cook & stuff lol

Wow.... too bad I cant get a crapper wagon and fix it up... Theres a junkyard around here W/an 84 GSL BUT, they want like $600 and its not worth $50. Dont get me wrong, but if I have to buy a new fender a new headlight cover a new bumper cover and a new hood, plus paint it and cut the rust out of the quarters. AND switch the interior to black considering its red and faded. Oh and did I mention it doesnt run, AND EVEN I DONT KNOW WHY!!! so no not worth $600...... too bad, my G/F saw it and wanted it, she was actually disappointed when it was to much.... I FELT HORRIBLE!!!

It might be because we are an older more mature crowd. Less likely to by flashy gadgets on a bank loan. We are past the posing to attract hot looking air heads that were easily swayed by flashy cars.

Hey!!! im not old.... Im only 21 damnit!!!! LOL, but yea, I think that the 1st gen section of this fourm is the most stable, No fighting and bashing. I guess were just all alike....Maybe thats why we all own fb's(well most of us )?????

But i have always felt that out of all 3 the fb really fits like a glove you can manuver throught those wavy winding roads with confidence no mater how fast you drive it (but you must have driving experience not for the newbee)you know your hugging those curves.
The best is 4pm on the LIE ( a large highway on long island for thoses who arent from ny) with lots of traffic, a fb can get threw any amount of traffic. Its so great some times to have a car thats so small, I Just love it.

MaxBoost13bRX - I have found that most FD owners are older people around 30s+. Why? B/c the amount they cost to buy drive and maintain is very high and accomplished adults are the only ones with the money to maintain it.

Miata, MR-2, 914, X1/9, etc will all out handle the RX-7 FB.
As far as the FD, taking it to a professional mechanic everyother month would be a pain.
Instead of mature, how about I describe owners like surfers (no, not the internet kind), "soul surfers", "Northside Underground", or we have "core". Glossy surfer (as in beach) magazine ads use those terms to portray their products as being as "far away from the hype as possible". Ironic, huh???

These cars are definately less attached to the ricer crowd because they were never in Fast R Furious R!!!111one and they are older cars- they require maintance, which rules out all those guys that can take their car to teh shop to have dubs put on but have no idea how to rebuild a carb.
I've seen more dead 1st gens in the graveyard than anyother 7 - to most, these cars arent worth the money to rebuild the engine so they jsut throw them away.

well if the FB had independant rear wheel suspension then i think it would be a different story but unfortunately you cant compare independant rear wheel to a solid rear axle.. if they had the same rear then we could talk

if your talking about first gen 7's it's an owner thing. yeah new is great and safe and all the rest but for me this is an iconic motor car that won major motor races the world over. For me it is the dream i had as a kid, now i've got one i want it to be the best(one day?) example arround. I like the fact that i'm no mechanic but change diffs , service and improove my own car, change it to pre-mix, swap and tune carbs, adjust suspension etc.
It's the shape and the noise for moast, saw f&f and wanted a new one but couldn't afford one for others, to hell with pistons - LONG LIVE THE ROTOR - is my lable, whats yours?

Of the FB's I've seen on the road in the past year or so, 1 was driven by a male and 3 were driven by females. And the owners of all of the FBs at AIM tuning are female.

One thing I would do to simplify the engine bay more is switch carbs...that thing used to falt out scare me! All those do-dads and do-hickies and whatca-ma-callits bolted on all over it really made me dread rebuilding it. And on that subject, I need to get out to our local junk yard to see how soem of those things are on there because haynes isnt helping get that last few things on(and some of the things on Hayne's carb were NEVER on mine)
