iv seen door panels converted to fit, but other than that its too much a pain in the ***.. and it just doesnt look "right" if you know what i mean.. like putting an fd int into an suv kinda, its just awkward for such an old car without the whole curvy body thing

IIRC the FD dash is too wide for the FB... it would require some serious mods and IMO not worth it.

Yea,it sounds cool...but why put a sleek, jet fighter-like interior into a 20+ year old, tinny 1st gen with all of its squeeks and creaks?
If you want a more up to date dash and console, just swap in the 84-85 dash.Yea,many people dont like em,but I always get comments on how modern my interior looks. Not your typical 80's dash I guess since there is no digital crap or thousands of buttons/vents.

Oh, and stick with the dark gray if you go 84-85.(my opinion)...The red or brown interiors just empisize the 80's look/feel.

most of the FDs i have ridden in probably creaked and squeaked and rattled more than most FBs on the road.
