So i was at the local hang out for local street racers and club cars in the area....was a nice night and alot of fast cars out and i see a 93 pull in, he got out and poped the hood and everyone was looking at it . As the kid started talking about it i found i knew more about his car than he did....the next thing i hear out of his trap was "The older ones are shity and slow" so the next thing out of my mouth was "**** you hippy i own 2 and they arent to slow" he he was like "what do they have 100hp?" im like some have less some have more but for a 1.2 na engine 100 hp isnt to bad..anyways the point of my story was the kid was a homo with a stock fd that thought he was gad and i wanted to put my foot up his ***, anyways he said his car could beat a 350hp eclips and i lol and left....another thing he said that turned me was tat 2900lb are is "lite" i said no a lite car is a 900lb crx anyways that was my night at the bulavard

 

by the title of this thread, I was expecting you to say that you raced him and almost handed his *** to him to prove that 1st gens aren't slow

 

later in the season he will get beat...some guy has a gray 85 its ported and it sounds likes he shifts around 11k...he would hand him his *** anyday

I always get the engine revs from other rx-7 owners, if i leave my car parked people will walk around it and check it out... not sure what's so cool about my car, it looks horrible right now.

 

Should have also mentioned the SEs had the same block as him and were 400lbs lighter.

Talking **** how 12A are for ricers,12A are for kids who cant tune a 13B,and all this bullshit...So I was **** talking back...well then he comes out talking **** to race me...saying my **** is slow,Anyways hes got this ricer type car club,wanna be race crew...well my car is so slow it beat most of them there with my1/4 mile time,on the track,he had a gutted down unsafe to drive on the streets FC..so I go to a track back in Novembers to meet these guys and I brought another first gen there with me..

I almost beat a FD by .2 cause he couldnt drive but he beat me.All of the other FCs couldnt beat mine besides the guy who stripped his **** down.I ran my best time of 15.3 He ran 15.7 and 15.3.

Any ways some people were talking **** about for me to put up some money to race,and I said about 50 times..m car is getting built right now..I cannot do ****,you can either wait a couple months or race my friends car with the same set up..$100. per run..winner takes all..

Well he shut the **** up quick about racing for money.Well a local track here has this thing on the first Friday of the month $8. to get in and run from 8pm to 2am,and that guy with the gutted FC took his rice club out there.Well guess what/who ran the best time the whole ****** night...

My friends "secret" port 12A in a 83 shell,all stock Mazda first gen drive train.He ran the best time of that night 13.1 but thats an 11 sec engine,we just put it in that shell 3 weeks prior.
79 tranny,83 GSL rear,Holley carb set up..etc..etc

Well some people was saying how every one was saying ooh thats Tonys boy (me),so net day comes around..and he comes up with 101 million excuses why not to race me..and I wanted to race him with a "modded' engine and his **** is stock with 300k miles and he had the car for 10 yrs and the **** didnt end..

Well dont talk **** when your talking about racing on the track cause anything goes.and I love it soo dam much ..when a 12A spanks the **** out of others,

For you other guys whos staying with 12As...you can do alot better than a 6 port 13b can..I belive so..

I am putting out about 230 to the wheels and have an 83 tranny and I don't abuse it since I think it will blow up if I do.

 

bickering among 7 owners is about as gay as you can get. whine this whine that. i wouldn't haven given the kid a comment. i would have just chuckled and walked off because obviously he has never heard of respect and had nothing better to do then talk ****. without the previous iterations there would be no 3rd gen. there would be no heritage. there would be no imsa domination and rotaries wouldn't have been banned or highly restriced due to their unfair advantage. no to pick on you sorrow as many have done this but you are now dissing on 2g's from your past experience, so in turn there is no end point. let the kid talk ****. if someone can beat him in a 1st gen then do it as actions are what makes the statement not words. and you really haven't proven anything to him as he doesn't care and probably never will. hell mommy and daddy probably bought him that car after he watched f&f and saw it in import tunerz. each model has they're ups and downs and everyone could argue some point but it never proves anything. everyone has their own reasons why they own what they own and want to find its particular potential. who would really think about putting a caravan in the 13's? but somenoe did. why because he wanted to. some think its cool and some not. i really don't think the kid cares. same to you guys. enjoy the cars and don't get your feathers ruffled by big mouth morons.

I agree with jeremy. A co-worker of mine is a V8 fan and spends every day at work telling me how useless rotaries are. He says basicly any car or truck that is a stick could pretty much beat my car (he says this still, even after his 67' Cougar was wasted by my car over and over again). He is never wrong, and it is totally useless to argue with him.

So I decided to stop talking about cars with him. But any time... any time he wants, I'll be there at the drag strip to put actions into words.

Some day I'll post a video, beginning with an interview with him. Following the interview, will be his pride crushing loss. At the end you will hear various excuses for why he lost.

That sounds just like this video I saw a few months ago on Superhonda.com. It was like a 97 Acura CL, I think supercharged, against something like a 92 Camaro.

The guy in the Camaro was saying how his car is so fast, and could destroy that CL (they were filming the guy talk shi* at a gas station).

They show the race, filmed from the passenger seat in the Camaro. It shows the Camaro start to take off, and then a second later, you see the CL just fly by him.

He starts whining in the car "my trans is slipping, Damn it....the A/C was on....I need a tune up...." etc etc.

It was hilarious.

i was up there in a 2000 wrx after i told the kid he dosnt know what he was talking about he shut his hole and siad a 2900 lb car was light...my buddies just lol and told him 2900 lbs is not light and he left....the only thing he could say about the engine was "its different"
