The FC seats were a direct bolt-in and a good upgrade to the sotkc ones, they hold you in a much better position but i do seem to have lost a little head room. I got an RX-8 shift **** and contary to popular opinion that it would not work on an SA due to different sized threads, it screwed on just fine and looks great. now if only i can find a 4-speed sticker for it.

my buddy GregS got an 8 shifter too, for $50, but they pulled the metal threading and put in plastic tube so that it self-threads.,

Got the seats for $50, shifter off a friends RX-8

 

There are a couples shifters on Ebay

 

All RX-8 shifers now come iwth the plastic sleeve because mazda found it too expensive with the metal sleeve.

 

Too bad the lighted one doesnt come with 5 speed decals.

The light-up one does come in a five-speed pattern, I've got one. They have to be ordered from Mazda UK because all the Rx-8s in the US are 6-speeds.
