FC Pinion Flange, Different Size?

FC Pinion Flange, Different Size?
I've been sifting through threads about using a N/A FC differential center chunk in a '84/'85 FB (please correct me if I'm wrong). But I can not find any references to pinion flange size. Are they a different size (between the FB and FC)?
If they are different, would it be possible to swap a FB flange onto the FC pinion gear without disturbing pinion depth? Or is it possible to use a FC yoke on a FB driveshaft?
I also noticed that there are alot of "theory" threads on this subject. Anyone actually have any first hand exsperience with this swap? Any other modifications associated?
I'm shure using a GSL(-SE) axle/center chunk would be easier, but I've found a good deal on a FC unit.
Thanks
Ben

n/a fc one thats got lsd? i thought those were rare
if i were swapping from another car, id go for a miata torsen unit. no idea about driveshaft fitment, but driveshafts are cheap to get made up anyways

I'd like to go with the Miata Torsen unit, but it requires more modifications. Plus this is a close to stock street car thats a daily driver. IMO, a stock LSD is fine for me..
Modifiying a driveshaft is spending money.. I'd just wait and look for a FB diff. instead of buying this one and modifing a drive shaft.
Thanks
Ben
