Experts advice needed on engine bay

Bought my Rx7 for about 1500 and because of the price I'm not quite sure how healthy my engine bay is. Some advice or guidance would be a great help
Sorry if some of the pics aren't very helpful, I'm a bit of a clown

I'm no expert, but I can try to help!
the pictures are great, I might use them to compare to my wiring to find some fixes for mine
I can tell your missing the air cleaner and rats nest (vacuum system), plus no fan shroud. Do you have the vacuum/air cleaner to hook it back up? Some of the carburetor wiring is disconnected and it looks like the a/c system was removed completely. But otherwise it looks like everything is there!
Take that advice with a grain of salt tho, I'm no expert but nobody has said anything yet so thought I'd give ya something to work with

Nothing overly concerning unless you were planning to do a proper "restoration". Its missing stuff but nothing too important minus the airbox, it should run fine with the pieces you've got if everything is in good condition.

I'd start with a compression test if you're unsure about the engine condition. That said, looks like it may have been rebuilt. The black and gold are not factory colors.

The upper rad hose is very swollen and the lower oil feed line looks kinked (these are super hard to remove without damage). Minus the missing odds and ends, those would be the first things I would sort out. Good luck!

right side of carb, lever that adds more fuel at high rpms is missing

air pump to cat is gone

choke cable is gone, or the hot start assist is gone (makes starting harder, and make starting while hot, you just have to depress the gas pedal to open the carb.

you didn't say the year of your car, mine is an 1983

does the engine even run on yours?
