If I recall correctly, you can even get a carb from Autozone for something like $450.00
But for that price, I'd just get one of the modified carbs that SVTCobra (I think?) is building (since Sterling carbs are no longer available).
I missed the fact that you are in Ga. Man, let me tell you, you've got it made. Many, many great rotorheads in that area that I had the pleasure to meet this past spring. Reach out to them in the Regional Forum section, or just find Ray Green and say hi. They will take very good care of you, I promise...

Autozone has a rebuilder they use but you have to give them a rebuildable core to send in first. It sounds like the mechanic said part of the carb was broken so he would need a different one to start off with.
