Hi,
I am trying to find a way to repair my exhaust system
I have a very high performance cherrybomb (hear the sarcasm?) and I
this round plastic circle hanging on a hook under my 83 GSL. I found it online and it's identified as an exhaust hanger. How do I use this thing?
There is a hook opposite this hook but no hanger on that hook.

The ruber circle is connected to both of the hooks to support the exhuast. I used to have rb headers to a burnt out turbo chery bomb to a blown pacesetter muffler it soundy so shitty and ratty and recidulously loud but not as loud as it is with just the turbo exhaust mani ear ringing loud and mad flames when i would start it b4 i took out the motor.

 

How is the circle attached to the other hook? Is there supposed to be a bar or some swaying support there?
I can find absolutely no illustrations or pictures of what the underside of this car is supposed to look like. Since I've been toying with it I have found that my dad's (I inherited the car) alleged mechanic was quite the redneck rigger!!

The exhaust should have two hooks one on each side. there should also be two hooks coming of of the car also one on each side . the ruber circles atach the hooks from the car to the hooks on the exhaust use the pic for example i dont have ne under car pics to show the hooks coming off the car.hope this can help give you an idea of how it is hooked up, and maybe someone with pics can show you how it is connected.
