exhaust
ok so I thought my manifold gasket was gone. so I replace that and every gasket back just to seal up the exhaust. still make car sounds like the manifold is leaking. for the life of me I cant figure out why. of course im still new to the rotary, I do know jeep wranglers tend to sound that way as well. However my friends FC doesnt sound this way, so im thinking my FB prolly shouldnt either. any ideas? my stepdad seems to think maybe something is going on with my airpump but im clueless

it IS possible in theory to have the exhaust come up the port air passages in the engine and out the ACV, its kind of unlikely...
if the cat is a stock mazda one, they split on the corners, real easy to weld it up

exhaust
Yea I had the entire exhaust out and the cats have been gutted all but the third one which i gutted and straight piped. We pressure tested those to ensure no leaks and we some no obvious cracks, everything seemed to be fine. Yea the exhaust fumes smell all around the car. I plan to remove the air pump soon as I find someone with the PDF file. So I will start checking what I can of that for leaks until im able to pull it completely out. Again thanks for the help guys. Im very new to the rotaries and this forum has been immense help
