You will gain some HP, but that set up will be loud.

The muffler you have chosen will probably disintigrate quickly against the hight heat of the Rotory engin.

There have been some mufflers that have actually had their life spans meashured in blocks or minutes driven.

The weak point is deafinatly the muffler.

I don't know any thing about the apexi...

i think some people use them on their turbo FCs and FDs. i'm pretty sure it'd sound like hell on a NA.

Nah i've never seen a melted muffler before due to rotary.

I have an N1 on my car, with TWO pre-mufflers on it, and its still too loud (plus its on a turbo so it would be even quieter).

If you want to get a GREAT sound, Use that setup that you have, (Racing beat header), into a 2.5" straight pipe center section, into the 2.5" over-axle version of the Prima Flow Racing beat muffler. (just chop off the 2 into 1 collector and weld straight to the over-axle single pipe)

This way, the prima flow is the only thing really muffling. This will sound HELLA good (this is what i'm doing with my turbo setup, only w/ an extra Racing Beat pre-silencer in the middle)

This melted muffler myth has to stop. Look at the piece of junk they put on for stock, mine lasted a good 12 years before it **** to bed, and its so simple and crummy.

But...

it also had the cats to go through, the airpump allowing all fuel to combust properly...

I imagine that a straight-through header to exhaust would indeed melt the muffler. I'm quite certain there's more merit than myth to this one.

A good exhaust with no emissions is good for 25 easy. So I hear anyway. Haven't personally dyno'd yet.

As for loud, I have a cracked header currently... Yeah, loud is definitely the only way to describe it without using words like "go cart" or "lawnmower"
