Too late, I fixed my exhaust leak. , I had a quarter thick sized gap between the downpipe and the cat's where my old gasket blew out and then I lost a nut making the issue worse, the point is the cat and muffler were NOT giving any back pressure and at idle I sounded like a pissed off lawnmower and at declaration would bust massive pops. The car sounded gnarly, but it was too god dang loud. I figure a straight pipe would sound identical since you have no cat's. I have a insta video of my old idle sound.. The cool thing is you will get rid of that nasty ping sound you hear in my video IF you pipe it as the muffler will do its job , what you are hearing is literally just what a 12A sounds like with nothing but the stock header and downpipe .

Now my car sounds like a quiet woosh when i rev.. . # bring back the leak # straight pipe em all

And this is what a stock thermal reactor exhaust sounds like.
