I had aranged to purchase an NPR intercooler from a person on this forum for $265 shipped to my door. THREE WEEKS AGO!!! I sent him an e-mail on Thursday explaining how angry I was. NO RESPONSE. I had writen him an e-mail today. NO RESPONSE YET. This is hurting US as a community. How can we trust people for advice and parts that we don't even know? We go at this sport with blind faith hoping that somebody who has done it before can point us in the right direction. Now more and more people are taking that trust and using it to rape us of our hard earned money.

I am asking for help to harasse this person off the forum, or to the point of him getting his **** together!!! He did it to me he can do it to others. He is an active member with a post as recent as today. His handle is TurboGXL

Now those of you who rise to his defense, please do. That means you know where he lives. Go to his house get him off his *** and make him send the intercooler!!!!

I'm glad I saw this so I can reply to it. I think I explained exactly what the hold up was.
If not let me restate. I originally was selling the FMIC off my car, which had a dent in the top of it and a hole from rock damage off the road. After receiving a bunch of responses from others wanting one I decided to secure some more and send you an intercooler with less wear and tear. Not knowing the condition of these other than appearance, I have needed to get them checked. Also I needed to get them cleaned (poilshed). This takes time. I also tried to explain that I was in the middle of finals and projects coming due, which are kicking my ***. If you know any architecture majors ask them how time consuming studios are. Anyhow, I'm not going to list excuses on the forum. But I thought I explained that I am in a "jam" right now and wish I had of waited till the end of school to take on something like this.

I AM SORRY!! I FEEL LIKE AN JERK!! I know this doesn't make things better. But honest I didn't plan things to work out this way. Feel free to bash me all you want, it is your right. If I was an ******* I would not respond here or in email or bitch about you. Notice I am not doing this.

Well, its 3:05 pm here. Classtime AGAIN, or I would write more. All I can say is, I'm not going to rip you off dude, I was even planning on refunding some of your money because of your patience, I FEEL THAT BAD ABOUT THIS!! On the other hand, I waited like 2 1/2 months before I started bashing demonspeed, and that was after no reply to like 30 emails.

 

I hope you guys get this settled. It sucks that we can't just trust each-other! Is escrow.com like paypal or something?

Escrow holds the money until you get the part and verify that it is in the conditon promised, then the seller gets thier money.

TurboGXL, are those the small NPR IC's? I've been looking for one for a while.

 

It hasn't been 3 months or even three weeks. It's only been two and a half weeks. And only ten days since we talked bout sending him the better IC. For crying out loud, don't you remember the days when **** took 4-6 weeks for shipping, or maybe you're too young. I LOST 3 times more money to this guy Demonspeed, I waited patiently for two months plus. I know how Ryan is feeling right now, and I already said I feel really F*ckin shitty and will get the DAMN IC out AS SOON AS I CAN.

In closing, b4 you all condemn me, wait to see the outcome of this.

I just went through a similar situation with a guy in Texas. Scott Loghry was the name, sold me an NPR Intercooler just the same.

When it was time for payment and such, he was more than eager to respond to emails, giving me his address to send the money to. I sent him the money via Fed Ex (So I could track it). Didn't hear from him for days, even though he promised he would send it asap, and send me the tracking info.

Still waited... Sent him email.
No Response

Still waited... Politely sent reminder email.
No Response

Still waited... Sent firm reminder email
No Response

Still waited... Sent him an angry email stating I wanted my money back or immediate shipment.
No Response

Looked up his address, and using professional courtesy, got the local phone number from the local P.D. The local P.D. was real anxious to help a brother officer out, and even wanted to go knock on his door for me. I told them I'd wait a little longer. They wanted to arrest him first, but that wouldn't have solved my intercooler porblem just yet.

I Called several times over a couple of days, and finally got a hold of his father (who incidently signed for the package I sent).

After explaining the situation, and what charges I would file next, I told him I also have all his son's correspondence. That his son did recieve payment. I explained how it becomes FEDERAL mail fraud for knowingly deceiveing people via the internet. He told me he'd resolve it.

Guess what, it was shipped the same day, & got it today(5 days later)

Damn I was pissed. I had his address, phone number, and all the proof necessary to have him arrested. I do hate **** like that. I always demand a written invoice for goods to be purchased, before I send payment. I also send payment via something that could be tracked (Fed-Ex, certified mail),so I can have proof of receipt.

Now, if only that @$$ in California would send me my lightweight RB steel flywheel, I'd feel better. At least he's responded with the usual, "shipping tomorrow" crap. But I am getting frustrated too. If I pay fast, I expect shipping fast.

Enough venting...

I see that TurboGXL made a mistake, at least he's trying to fix it...hopefully, it won't happen again.

I am gonna look into that Escrow.com..it sounds good.
