I am wiring my fuel pump to a solenoid to be controlled by a kill switch. What is a good wire to splice into that is only on when the ignition is on? I would rather NOT tap into the power to the radio. Any other suggestions?

Run the power straight off the battery. You can use the coil positive to trigger the relay through the kill switch.

Ditto that. The fuel pump wire is an ignition-on wire. On '84-85s it has the one extra provision that the engine be running/cranking. Should be fine, and right where you need it.

If you can't find that, I'm not sure!

Yeah you can use the stock wiring to trigger a relay. Just depends where you want to position the kill switch and relay as to whats easier.

****. I forgot to mention, the stock fuel pump wiring isn't acceptable because it's not working, hence me needing to rewire it. I don't want to wire it straight to the battery, because I would like to limit the amount of **** at the terminals. I would like to find something under the dash that is unused.
