well, luck was not with me. i ran a direct line from the battery to the pump controlled by a switch. nothing changed. my friend wasnt here with his voltmeter though so i cant tell if it's actually getting the voltage or not. but it's a 12gauge wire coming directly from the battery which was being jumped and had plenty of juice! this sux sooo bad! i guess it's the pump??? it's not the lines because it seemed to take more time than it should just to fill up the damn fuel filter. AHHHH!

I've never read anywhere, but I would assume 12 Volts.

I've tested them with a battery directly.

(Maybe the two or three I tested that way really actually sucked, and only pumped well because I was frying the hell outta them?! )

Yes its 12V. SO you ran a new + wire from the battery? Did you also run a new ground to the - side of the battery? You may just have a bad ground dude. Believe it or not, the fuel pump grounds ar the gang ground at the right front headlight motor. Theres a bolt there with like 3-4 grounds, one of them is for the fuel pump LOL.

You should'nt be so frustrated. You seem to be moving right along in your troubleshooting.

At this point I wouldnt worry about pressure from the old pump, sounds like theres not enough volume.
