Engine missing a lot.

Since I bought the car, my motor seems to miss when idling every second or so. Even with more gas, it tends to miss once every second or two.

I've had carb work done for various reasons (water inside, new choke cable) and nobody can quite figure out what's going on.

Anyone know what might be up?

1985 GS
26,000 miles (starting to doubt the accuracy of this number. brakes, clutch, and starter have all gone bad in the past 2 years.)

Yeah I really doubt that number too. However a rotary of that age with that low miles is a BAD thing. I'd start with a new cap and rotor. New plug wires, and new plugs. Check the timing. Change the fuel filter too.
