engine choices?!?!

k guys my 12A engine is almost out of the car, nothing but the rotor housing in it now , now ive been trying to decide what to do, some people say since im putting so much money into this project i should convert to a bigger engine (13B), as you might know this is a drag only car... i want it to be a straight up beast on the track, do you think i should convert to a 13B of whatever kind and if so what kind 13b, 13bt...ect.. i dont mind wating longer for money or availability because like i say "only the best and fastest". also could you twin turbo a 13B of any kind, i think that would be really cool but found no information on this. thanks for the advice.

i would definately go with the 13bt at least. you could spend the extra money and get a 13b-rew (twin turbo)from a third gen(but sticking with a single turbo is probably a better idea) or if you really want to impress people drop the large amount of cash it would take to get a 20b (drool) in the end i would say it all depends on how much money and time is available. just my opinion
ps-also trya search i know there is tons of info on this subject.

Definately get a 13B.

Pound for Pound (of boost) "There's no replacement for displacement."

When it comes to smokin' V8's,

"Boost, the displacement replacement."

13Bt REW from a Cosmo with single large turbo is the way to go. See what Mike P28 has done on this forum is a good starting pont, or AJC13B. Let other peole pay for your research!

Ok if you want a very very fast car, do what I did. It will run pretty freaking good..

If you want a faster car do what directfreak did, just drop the AC, power steering, and the cruise control garbage (Sorry alex had to do it)

If want another faster car do what setzep is doing.

If you want a super fast evil mo fo, do what steve (ajc-13b) did ..

There are many internal/external engine combinations you can go with if you are building it from scratch. I myself am a 13B fan. My Puerto Rican buddy is into bridgeporting 12As from junkyards and NOS..cheap way to run 9's, although an FD engine swap and some tuning will yield around the same times in a 1st gen chassis.
..now if I had an unlimited budget :sigh:

Alex Im screwing with you.. LOL

I should have kept my cruise control, i could have done it very easily... But the AC had to go bye bye... I wanted my IC up front, but I like the way yo did yours that was pretty smart

But look at how short my IC piping is, and theres virtually any bends in it Its an almost straight shot, very simple.
