Engine builders! How does this look. Run away 56K
Everything still has yet to go through the parts washer and checked for spec but aside from that if all looks good then I'm just in for a new set of rotor bearings.
Bought this engine for $25 in March of '11 so if its crap no loss and if its gold then sweet.

center and rear irons are toast, i see burn marks, which means the rotor might be bad too.
rotor housings look great though, and that is the hard part

Yeah from what I could tell the engine spun a bearing on the rear rotor. I believe the rotor itself is fine but they're both caked at the moment so I figured I'd save judgement on that till they were washed. Apex and side seals all look mint though.

I agree with what j9 posted about the rotor housings looking good and the irons looking like trash.
Apex and side seals looking 'mint' doesnt mean much. How many miles are on them? I'd be willing to bet most of not all are out of clearance.
Definitely have new main (stationary gear) bearings installed along with the rotor bearings.

its supposed to do that

As posted above, I agree the housing look plenty useable. Those irons are trashed. You wont know on the rotors until you measure. I have had beautiful looking rotors with trashed apex seal slots, and rusty, crappy looking rotors that specced out just fine.

keep the phone for talking and texting and buy a camera for taking pix. that way u chose a setting so the pix aren't so big u have to scroll the page left to right to see the whole thing and u can see if it's clear enough before posting. now with that said, i agree with the others. rotor housings look good enough to reuse but u'll need to find another set of irons. and replace all the metal seals and springs with new. u plan on doing any port work?

that rotor is probably bad too...

Personally, I'd never reuse a rotor that spun a bearing. Nothing sucks more than tearing a fresh rebuild apart again for a spun bearing. If the bearing spun, you're likely going to need a new E-Shaft, so you'll have to balance the assembly anyways, why chance it. Especially with those nice housings.
