electrical problems

I've got a couple of electrical problems. I haven't broke down and took the bottom dash apart yet, but I will probably do that later. My problems are: No background lights on the dash when the lights are on, intermittent voltage gauge problem, and the choke doesn't push back in automatically. Any ideas on where to check specifically? Everything else works fine, the other gauges, mirrors, windows. The lights are the biggest problem ,though. Oh, the radio and A/C lights come on when I turn the lights on, BTW. Thanks!

i would say that the fuse is ok but check it, it sound like the blubs are gone! or have u the dash apart and forgot to plug it up??? voltage maybe a drity connections check all of them and clean them up with some sandpaper the choke i would worry about it uses more fuel when u use it!

check the haynes and see what those things have in common in the wiring diagrams. also did you check your dimmer for the dash lights, just a thought. all the bulbs in the dash shouldn't die at the same time. it could also be due to the wire hacking that happened in the engine bay, lol.
