electrical prob...

ok i have done a search again.. haha and i found other people had a sim. prob. but mine is a bit diff. ok my radio... i only get channels if the head lights are on... (no dome lights no buzzers either head lights on or off)... if you open the door or turn on a light( well try to) the channels get reset..(while lights are on so i can listen to some tunes). this is the stock unit and i want to keep the stock unit. can anyone help.. i checked all the fuses under the choke nothing seems to be wrong...

That sounds like a plain old worn out radio to me. connections get lose inside, and they just stop working. You might know a Ham radio guy or someone like that who can dink with circut boards, but, hell, you can buy a cheap radio that will fit.
