Sounds like an electrical short. First, check your tailight assemblies for moisture. They are known to break the seal, and allow moisture in. If they are nice and dry, pull each light bulb socket and inspect them for rust or corrosion. Then, if all that fails, trace the wiring, looking for a short. Good Luck.

fuses blowing usually means a short. even the switch at the pedal going bad, i can't see it causing fuses to blow. does it blow with the headlights on? not exactly sure how, but the brake lights work thru the turn signal switch.

there is a brake light switch above the pedal. be sure the two wires are connected.

Make sure the two drain holes by the back hatch are clear and working well.

Depends on the seal that is leaking, but most likely not. Your best bet for weatherstripping and seals is Victoria British.. Another option is getting some from another member.. PM Atkins Dan. He's been a great seller to me in the past..
