Is it easy to remove the stock exhaust manifold?
I checked the online FSM and even the [crappy] Haynes manual and neither gave any help in how to remove the stock exhaust manifold. The intake plenum is covering too much so looking at it from above makes it difficult to assess what needs to be done. I have yet to jack the car up to peek underneath and wanted to ask beforehand so I have at least a decent idea of what I'll need to do to get started.
And, if anything else needs to be removed to make the removal easier, let me know. Thanks.

top nuts
The top two nots on the exhaust manifold can be hard to reach.
The FSM shows a special tool.
I made he equvqlent from an old distributor wrench. heated and bent the 9/16 arm to suit.
9/16 is close enough to the 14mm size needed.
Some sort of ujointed socket might also work.

Before you try to remove any nuts from the studs, do yourself a favor and clean up the threads with a wire brush. And yes, use lots of PB Blaster (accept no substitute) a day or so ahead of time to help prevent breaking things off.
I don't recall needing any special tools, but its been a while since I've done this...
