E-Brake cables (Drum)

Gotta crawl under the GS and replace the e-brake cables. I know one has had the ghettofied Home Depot mod done to it. (Replace with a length of steel cable. Crimp ferrule on the end with pliers.)

I'm a believer in doing **** in pairs, so I'll do both left and right equally.

Just wondering if I should do the front set as well.

IIRC the drum setup has a total of five cables.

One from the lever to the splitter. Then for each side, a two piece cable to the brakes themselves.

ALso, what is interchangable left to right and what is interchangable with disc brake cars? I believe only the lever cable is compatible with GSL and GSL-SE... Correct?

That's the problem. Someone has already done that to this car. I will be buying the correct parts (Like $30 from Rock Auto.) to put on.

corrected parts? Its been a year since I did that.. it still hold strong. Did they loop the ends and then crimped them up?

Maybe your better off buying a new set of cables, but there really expensive.. hope you got big pockets.

According to RockAuto, they're less than $30 each... I'm sure not all five need replaced. I just need to figure out which one and do I need its mate or not?
