I sent out a request to a bunch of junkyards using one of the online junkyard services and got on good drive shaft for 62 shipped.

I've had hard luck in balancing after U joint replacement. Sometimes a used shaft w/ U joints worked best.

i would check some junkyards but for the 83 and up models the u-joints or something breaks when you take them off and have to replace everything i was just wondering if anyone had any experience with the mazdatrix one. i will check some junk yards and see what is up with that route too.

I have a mazdatrix one, and it works great. And has replacable U-joints, can't get much better than that.. except for the junkyard.

What about the weight? is the aftermarket one heavier than the OEM units?
