Door hinges!?!?!

Door hinges!?!?!
I just got off the phone with the dealer. Big surprise, they only carry the uppers. You know, the ones that don't wear out? Is there a repair kit made for these? My pins are flopping around, and the detent bushings are shot. I can get used lowers for $25 a piece, but there's no guarantee they will even last a day. Has anyone found an alternative?

Sounds like a deal to me. I just took a door off an 85 GSL, and they appeared to be the same. If they're not the same, then I bought a useless door, lol. Got some pics of yours? That would be my only request before sending the money. I appreciate the offer very much!

Well, drift offered first. Lemme see what he's got. Dang, I got no response emails for this thread. Sorry guys, I would have responded had I known? Something tells me Reno hinges may not be too bad, with the dry desertous(?lol) air. I went to Reno once, cool little town.

Thank you the hinges even on my daily driver have good hinges, and the hinges you're looking at don't squeak or anything. Yeah its pretty dry here, except during the winter, I'll have to dig out the pics of a FB under 5 feet of snow.

I'm not looking at any yet Get any pics yet? VERY interested still. I think the hinges on mine got lubed at the factory, and that was it. The drivers side sags so much, it's pulling the weatherstrip out every time I close the door.

Oddly enough, I've found that replacing the upper hinges cures the sagging issue. They don't wear that much but it's amazing how just a little slop in the upper hinges will translate into a major sag at the latch. I'd first try replacing just the upper (around $40 tops from Mazda). If that doesn't work move on to the lower hinge.
