Not really required but if you want to get anything out of the new carb, you will need one

No point in investing in a Yaw carb without replacing the stock pump.
To do the job right, you need to replace the pump, add a regulator, and get a pressure gauge.
Carter pump, Holley regulator, Yaw gauge. It's all on Paul's site.

If you only get the new pump and not the regulator, you'll have even worse results than a stock pump! Read some of the recent posts about carbs, filters, and pumps.
