Do those "help pass emissions" gas additives harm the rotaries?

Mine just barely missed passing so we did some vacuum line work (had a leak) and I'm about to go try again and I was going to use some of that just in case if it won't harm the motor. Anyone know? I just want to get it through this one time since I'm probably about to sell the car anyway. That, or it'll be registered where there are no emissions next year anyway.

Anyone in the atlanta area want an '84? Cheap . Good parts car but it actually runs really good too. Only 104k on it. Just could use paint and a center dash piece. I've decided I want to spend the $ and get a GSL-SE.

Cat isn't very old (less than a year) and the ACV is being checked (along with the cat anyway). I had some vacuum lines not right. I realize those emissions things don't really help. Only thing that failed was CO. HC and stuff was real low. I don't feel like dumping much $ in it though since I'm either buying a GSL-SE or next year I won't have to do emissions anyway.

re

Ahh.... that explains it. I was wondering if you found a loop hole or something. Really sucks, my neighborhood is part in walton and part in gwinnett. The subdivision was trying to get all the houses listed as walton county. They were not successful so some houses are in walton and some in gwinnett. My backyard fence is on the walton line but the house is listed gwinnett. I am 20 feet from not needing emissions test!

Unfortunately no loop hole. I was looking. If only I were about 50 years older I would qualify for that one Or how about my other car is a ULEV, doesn't it balance out?

I've heard of people getting Mailboxes etc P.O. Boxes and using them since they don't actually say "P.O. Box" Other than that man, I don't know what to tell you really. Good luck, this new test appears to be hell for the 1st gens. Mazda place around here was telling me it's real hard to get a stock 1st gen through, not to mention one that has been modded.
