Do our cars have feelings???

I mean do they really. Cause Ive been talking to my friends about selling my seven and getting a four seater and yesterday I'm writing this post saying that I'm gonna get rid of my 7 and drive around in my Beetle. And guess what happens this morning. Well, I dont know what happened but I'll try to explain it.

I started to warm it up and everything seemed fine. I come back out like 10 mins later get in and everything looks good.
So i sit in the car for a couple of more mins. Step on the clutch and engage reverse. And thats when things started to go bad. The car almost died on me, idleing at 500 or just below the line. When i gave it some gas, just a little, it would rev very abrupt and of key. On a lighter side, as soon as this happened there was no more smoke coming out of the muffler.
But that idle thing had me worried. Instead of brap, brap, brap it was more of brap, _,brap, _, brap.

So, then I get out open the hood and rev it from the engine, it first rev nothing, second rev it starts bad, but then it smooths out and the it pops. But the idleing was still bad. So i take out the dirveway, barely. And i take off very slowly by the time I got to work it was working "normal".

So what do you guys think.

They sure do. Mine's still pissed for me wrecking her. She wants me to buy her an expensive ignitor before she'll even start again.

Don't tell her I'll be getting it from the scrapper. Found an 81 a few days ago. I'll probably get enough to make up the DLIDFS if the entire ignition is there.

I know mine does, I've spent more on her than a girlfriend just to keep her happy.
I never take her when I got to look at another 7, hehe
She was pissed at me until she seen that the new owner is going to take care of her. hehe, is this a little to wierd?

Yeah, I think my car has Munchausen's Syndrome. (Always making up reasons to be tended to)

As soon as i fix something, something else goes wrong. It always waits until the first problem is fixed before revealing the second one.

Most recent examples: I fixed the stereo, then 1/2 hour later the brake pedal gets sorta low/spongy.

I bleed and adjust the brakes, and now the speedometer is acting up.

Basically it wants more attention.

I think my REPU has feelings. When I first got it and installed an engine, it was acting like a kid that didin't want to get up to go to school. It had very little power, it wouldn't run very smooth, etc.

I haven't touched the carb screw settings or anything like that, but nowadays it seems to like me or something. I think it was suffering from a previous owner's abuse. I had to replace or rebuild all of the hydralics (even the clutch cylinders) amoung other things. Now it runs with way more power than before, and is quite well mannered (considering its previous behaviour).

Now I think my other cars are getting jealous.

I know mine has feelings. I talk to her every day, I still apologize for spinning her and I just keep assuring her that as soon as I can afford it she's going to look even better than when she rolled off the show room floor.

I've got a few more little things I've got to do that I want to do during the winter while I can have her apart for multiple days at a time and not worry about having to drive her, but I'm basically going through and restoring all the parts that have gone bad because she sat for 2 years. I've still got to replace the clutch hydralucs, and radiator, but that's about it. Once I flush and bleed the brakes, and install the poly. bushings I have, she'll be all set mechanically and I can just concentrate on the appearance.

She knows I love her, and I know she loves me... sometimes she just gets a tad impatient...

mine demands constant attention. as is common, she knows when i've fixed something - because that's when something else breaks.

most recently, as soon as i got a while new brake system put on, a week later, the ignition acts up - my trailing ingiter died

as soon as i put the new igniters on, something else is gonna happen.
