do i need a new clutch?

i got my 13b in the GSL, and in first, it seems like it's slipping around 5000 RPM. well, it feels like it's losing power, my mechanic said it sounds like the clutch slipping, but when he drove it, nothing happened. i think it only happens in first, and he didnt get it that high in first i think. does this sound right? with the power of the 48mm delortto and full exhaust is it too much power for the standard clutch?

Here's a test that I always use when test-driving a used car. Take the car up to approximately 25 mph and put it into fifth and then try to accelerate. If the car bogs down-that's good. If the engine revs-the clutch is going.
In an ideal world (one where you have unlimited funds) you should upgrade the clutch, brakes, etc when you're running with a lot more power than stock.

basically what he means is if the revs go up after shifting into 5th and accelerating, means your clutch is slipping. It shouldn't bring the revs up at all.
