Disaster Has Struck!!!!
As the title states, the performance part of my life has come to a sudden stop.
Aprox. 2:35 a.m. friday night, a girl swerved to miss a dear and hit my 2 stall garage along Rt. 50. going about 65mph. Amazingly and luckily the girl was not hurt but my beloved 85 GSL-SE and 2002 CBR F4i was struck quite severly.
The SE took a pretty good hit to the right rear side sliding it 90 deg. During impact the front of my car struck the front of my bike bumping it at least 5ft and knocking it over. I was at my girlfriends house that night and was informed by my parents saturday morning.
My garage is lucky to be standing. My car is possibly totalled, and my bike isn't far from it if the forks are bent........Due to insurance purposes we have not moved anything yet and it is hard to tell the extent of the damage to either and what will come of my two most prized possesions.
I am lost...... It's hard to say what will happen for we will be dealing with Nationwide insurance now and of course they will try to give me the least amount possible. Book value would be a joke for we all know the importance and rarety of a mint condition 85 GSL-SE and the fact that book on my bike is $1k less then I currently owe. Not to mention the thousands of dollars and many hours of aftermarket and custom work done to both.
I have many pics if someone could host them. They are rather large so I am currently cropping them down.
I will be updating this thread as the events unfold.....

Thanks for the support. As KehoeAutomotive has stated it is a very valid option to swap everything to another car. In all actuality, a GS or S would weigh much less then the 2600lb SE. As I said, it really is too early to tell what will be done.
Thanks guys

that is awful. make sure you have some before the accident pics. they will tell the story of how nice of machines they were. i would get what i can and it the 7 is worth it to you, buy it back and rebuild

sucks to hear about this.
one of my friends was recently side swiped by an old lady. he was driving a 240sx coupe. me and him put many hours in to that car. intalling an LSD, coil-overs, exhast, seats, redid the interior. there was no way he was going to accept blue book for the car. since he had some recipes for the aftermarket stuff on the car the ended up giving him 2200 for the car. they originaly quoted him 1700 but he put up a good fight and got 2200 out of it.
so deffinatly put up a fight.

Ran off the road on Rt. 50?? Do you live along one of the squirrely sections? Damn man, that sucks. Maybe damage to your garage is like WAY severe and you can get it fixed with some $$ leftover to repair or replace the SE?? Hmmm.
I know a lot of contractors in Martinsburg, let me know if you need an estimate .

My friend just ran my CBR600 F1 into a curb the other day laying it down and scratching up and breaking all the plastics on the right side, and my car was stolen by redneck hicks and stripped. I know the feeling man, trust me.

Haha, yeah. Well, ironically, I just ran my friends brothers car into a curb pulling into Taco Bell and bent the lower control arm (damn Fords, at 10 MPH and it didnt even pop the tire or anything ). Im debating if I should fix for him it or not since he didnt fix my bike, lol.
Naw, Im too nice for that. Im gonna fix it as soon as I can find a ******* place that sells a lower control arm for a 1993 Ford Escort GT, lol.

Really early, no sleep as of yet. Cant sleep, clowns will eat me. Naw, Im just playing. Im having some "thinking time" due to recent events with females in my life, so I cant really sleep. Sucks.

EDIT: Still cant find a lower control arm for a 93 Escort GT. Looks like Im hitting the junk yards. I still cant believe I bent the control arm that bad and didnt even bend the rim or pop the tire or anything! All at MAYBE 10 mph!!

E-mail the photos to pele@3geeks.org, and I'll try to host them, so long as they're not like 1280x1024 resolution or something...
Hope my friend reset my password on his e-mail server.

I live along a fairly straight high speed road. These ******* around here think their cars are Ferrari's. Honestly, I'm suprised it hasn't happend before this. My garage sits about 30 feet from the road in a mild to medium turn. I really don't know what will come of this yet. Nationwide (her insurance company) is sending out an adjuster tomarrow.
I am so worried their going to total it and say "well, here is high book", which is like 2k. Then I would have to buy my car back ( Money I don't HAVE!!).
The forks on my bike are bent, so who knows what will come of it.
I am tempted to get a lawyer but again, money I don't have. Even then there is no garantee I would win. Insurance companys have teams of big dog lawyers waiting for some small town lawyer to post their case.
To top it all off, I'm leaving for the Air Force in about 3 months so there really isn't much time to rebuild and swap everything(if that is the case).
I have just been going over every scenario. It is still early so I may come out OK.....
RotormotorDriver I am sorry to hear about everything. I think your situation may be worse then mine.
Thanks for the support guys. It means alot

Hey TJ, your Ford Escort actually has the same chassis as the Mazda Protege (I don't know if you have those in the states, is also called 323). Might make your searching easier. The Escort base engine is Mazda, the GT engine is all Ford. I raced one of those with my stock 83 GX with automatic tranny and it put up a good fight!

sorry
that sucks man.
im very sorry to hear it.
it sucks ahta t insurance doesnt take into consideration of the value of a car that ha s been built up well, when they do if you ahve done upgrades to your house.
the upside though is you will beable to claim part of it both on the auto insuarance ssince she hit you, aas well as house insurance?
well maybe insurance doesnt work like that..
