Hmm... wotcha doing with the old ones?

BTW I know they're the wrong lug pattern, but seeing as I need to change all four calipers and the left rear axle bearing ANYWAY, might as well bolt in all the goodies from an -SE, right? And if I do that I won't be able to use any of my 4x110 wheels even if they did fit over the front brakes...

Does anyone have more pictures of that car other than the ones on the webpage (where the links to the bigger pics don't work?)

Is that the price for the Ultima kit? What all included with the kit? $800 isn't bad at all. T

The links don't seem to be working.

try right clicking on the link and cut and paste.. it works.

Agreed. What is in the kit? Air dam/skirts/valence/wing? What is it made of, fiberglass, plastic?

Must know more... I really just want the front part. I could do without the back part. The sides hang down too far, and side skirts you can get from lots of places, not much diff...

Aren't they the company that sells those fender flares that were shown on here a few weeks back too?

ok heres the email i got from them... i asked for a better pic with no smoke covering the *** so i could see the rear better and a price for the kit.
they replyed with "The boss says it doesn't cost any extra for the smoke - that's free! It was a very cold day on the day, which is why there is some condensation coming from the exhaust.
Unfortunately, there is no other picture as it is a brand new kit. we've sold two over the net in the two weeks we've had them, none of whom have complained that they couldn't see through the smoke....
When we fit another on in the workshop we will have to take another picture but that has to do for now...
The price.... is $1480.00 for the kit.
Hope your happy now...."

hmm, that's like 755 USD$. not too bad. I wonder how much shipping would be?? Prolly very expensive.. They need to get together w/ a US supplier and distribute them...

I seriously like that front. Does anyone remember the link to the car that had fender flares that kinda looked like they were riveted on? I think it was purple? I lost it...

EDIT:

I found it! Thread

Picture of the car

The ultima front, w/ those fender flares.. I see an Austrailian order in my future. (besides, the fender flares would allow me to cut out the rusty areas around the wheel wells...)

I want just the front end. maybe float this around a bit, see if we can get enought people willing to get it shipped in a group. don't exactly know how that would work. maybe a big crate to the states then it gets shipped seperately? I'm %100 for sure I want the front end. so if anyone else is for sure they want the kit or parts speak now or forever hold yer peace

well, I know how bumpers are shipped to auto plants. They are stacked ontop of each other w/ foam separating them. So shipping 10 takes up only slightly more space than shipping a single one... It would most certainly be cheaper to buy several, then redistribute... Or, convince some shop that they should get some and distribute here...

Does anyone know if they are the manufacturer or just a reseller themselves?

Regarding the Selectmaz front air dam, I am having the first one sold put on my 84 convertible at the present time .

Will post a picture when its finished, and list any problems in fitting.

Asyou can see the prototype deleted the side blinkers. It is fitted with Eunos 300 replacements and no side trim. Its fairly heavy fibreglass, I would prefer it in Kevlar or medium tech Carbon.

Basically its a GM Commodore shape. I choose it because it looked more stock than the average boy racer rivet one.

In Australia it costs around $430 for the front plus $70 local freight. It is costing slightly more to have sprayed, fitted and wired.

My reason for having it fitted was because the front end of the car was a little light above 120mph. Many of the outback roads I drive on are sraight and flat so you can cruise at 120 for an hour or so without seeing another car. The problem is the occasional sharp dip across the road for drainage which makes a good launch ramp!

Pity about the name which is the same as an earlier Mariah kit.

Transport difficulty

I checked with one of my friends who has shipped my raciing boats internationally on the best way for transporting body kits.

The advice is car firms design their parts with transport in mind, so you can stack car body parts to save volume. However he very much doubted front dams would stack because of the shape. With interstate movement in the USA you would need individual wooden crates throughout the trip to avoid damage.

I'd be in on a group buy for the Ultima. Man I want one!

The Euro SS is nice too, but the Ultima! Man!

The Ultima kit

For peope thinking of getting the Ultima kit, I have been trying to fit the first one sold. The shape is good but there are many problems with fit and quality;

I have listed these on the thread on the poll of the appearance of the Ultima kit. I would hate for anyone to buy the kit without knowing what they are getting and what work is involved. IT IS NOT A BOLT ON REPLACEMENT BUMPER AND AIR DAM.
