Detailed Mariah widebody pictures needed

So I picked up this Mode 1 kit for $125 and some parts that looks like it was installed with a can of Bondo and removed with a flat head screw driver, needless to say, I've got my work cut out for me. Basically what I need to see is what uninstalled rear fenders are supposed to look like (front and rear edges), the inner lip of the fender (front and rear), and what the shape of the back side of the fiberglass is supposed to look like on the front bumper. Bumper reinforcement bar pics and fender liner pics would be really helpful too.

Can't help with the kit. As for fender liners, you will need to make your own or mod the oem ones. I made rear ones out of rolled aluminum used for roofing. Check in the archives, I have a 'How To' on trimming the rear fender lips.

Thanks Trochoid, I've read your how to thread inside and out multiple times, it's very helpful. My problem is that I'm trying to figure out what is original fiberglass and what was added on. I can't tell how the aft end of the rear fenders interfaces with the cutouts for the tail lights and bumper, or how the leading edge of the rear fenders attach to the body (into the door frame? or behind it?)

The back edge of the rear fenders is shaped like this, but not nearly as exaggerated, with the cutout being for the tail lights

The front edge is about 1" short of the edge of the door. I plan on doing my inner fenders out of fiberglass since I already have a bunch for molding the kit on.

I can get some pics for you when I pull my kit out of the shed, I'm finally about ready for it

Freakin' sweet, thanks. I saw a picture of some rear fenders that were removed from a car earlier, and they had that same recess you're talking about, except it went around the lights and the bumper. Upon looking at my fenders closer, I can see where the original fiberglass ends, I guess all I need to do now is go at it with the flap disc and remove 30lbs of bondo.

Here's some pics of what I'm working with...

Yeah, the recess is for the lights and bumper. Looks like they broke a decent bit off some of the edges ripping it off the car. It shouldn't be a big deal though since after you glue or rivet them on you need to fiberglass them to smooth them into the body anyway. Get it as close as you can with the fiberglass, if you can only use fiberglass. The less bondo you use the less likely it is to crack at the edges.

I guess the neat thing is that most (save for the broken corner on the right rear fender) of the broken edges are just epoxy and bondo, I can trim that all back to the original fiberglass and start over.

EDIT: still need to find more information on the "bumper reinforcement bar", almost forgot about that.

The bumper reinforcement bar I had was simply an 1-1/2X1-1/2 or 2X2" 1/4" aluminum angle that went from bumper shock to bumper shock.
