Decisions Decisions....
Ok, ive got a big life changing decision to make here and I wanted some advice....
should I -
A- Keep my FB and mod the crap out of it
B- Buy and FD and put a tad of money into it, or
C- Buy a brand new 2004 S2000 at cost and low finance? I know its a banger but its kinda quirky and fits in the same category of coolness as the Rex if you ask me.
I know in the end its my choice but I just really wanna hear some opinions on it. What would you choose and why? I know this may end up being a bit bias because its the FB forums but I dont care, I like you guys =)

hmm...
Personally id stick with the FB, but thats just my personal opinion. You do have to consider emission testing if you have it or if your getting it, the fb's hardly pass at all around here, and any newer car that isnt a gm will fail if you mod it so just a few things to think about, fd's are going to be more expensive to repair, and you will void your warranty more than likley with that s2000 if you mod it a lot

Why the S2000? I mean, is there a particular reason for wanting that car? I'm with Aico, what do you want to use the car for?
I'd say both - keep the FB, keep it fairly stock & improve it as you have the money, and get the S2000 for a daily/long distance driver.

i think the FD would hold the best value, the s2000 will just go down, and the FB will be hard to sell all moded up. like everyone else has been saying what are you looking for, daily drive? Stang Eater? A to B? PoonTang Magnet? its what your after

Absolute Power is Awesome
Honda bashing is always funny to me. Anyone who actually owns a Honda knows that they are the best combination of quality and sport you can get. Don't get me wrong, I'd take my 1st gen over my Integra GSR every time but anyone who appreciates cars has to like Hondas. Honda drivers are another story...
I've looked at buying a number of 3rd gens and I'm repeatedly disappointed by the quality. The plastics are thin and cheap, something's always rattling, and I don't care how much you maintain the engine, it's not likely to last 100,000 miles. The Honda will be alive for at least 200,000 without the effort.
Having said all that, I don't know why anyone would buy a ~$35000 new convertible right now. In four months Lotus will introduce the Elise with a Toyota engine and suddenly all other sports cars will be too fat.

Either fix up the fb or replace it with another fb that's in mint condition for less than $4000.
Then take the money saved by not buying the Honda or FD and get your pilots' licence and buy a 1/4 share in a Cessna 172.
Once you've done a few spins and wing-overs you'll have forgotten all about the Honda...
