Damn 12A oil cooler beehive

I'm trying to train in my handyman Reuben while he's recovering from whatever knocked him out (probably Booze Broads and Bimbos). So I gave him the 12A to replace the oil cooler beehive ORings, and after about 2 hours of cursing and struggling to get the two undermounted nuts off he gave up and put everything back together. How do you guys get that thing off?

With a wrench. Really, the only difficulty I had was getting the big one loose on the backside (17 or 19mm). Other than that, it wasn't too tough...

Jack up the car, gather up about 18" - 2 Feet of 3/8" extensions and a flex head socket (preferably the socket with the swivel built in, not an add on). Crawl under on your back, Thread the extensions up around the oil lines, and all your bolts will be off in minutes.

Doing it from above is an exercise in patience and wholly unnecessary.

That's how I did it.

I used a 10mm wrench from the topside. Lemme tell you, I can understand the cussing. It wasn't easy, but it did come off. I even resisted the urge to throw it across the the shop when it *finally* came off.
I thought about the extentions and going at it from below, but without enough extentions, I gave up on it. Besides, I didn't have a change of clothes with me.......

I figured it might be easy from underneath. Reuben was upset that the banjo bolt didn't fit the 7/8" wrench very well and I told him to grind it off since I couldn't find a 23mm handy. Oh well, try again next week.
