yeah, if that does turn out to be the problem then i would check the pinion angle and make sure the bushings are not worn out on your suspension. this driveshaft lasted what 6 months? you did grease the u-joints when you installed it right?

Is your 83 GS still a one-legger or did you upgrade to an LSD? Burnouts -- aka "one tire fires" -- are very, very bad for an open diff. If the driveshaft is not the problem, then the diff becomes a suspect.

Did you happen to be burning just 1 tire a lot during your "fun"? If so, its possible you wrecked your diff. I don't see how this could cause a vibration, but if the berings went bad, then it would created a humming sound.

LOL, who let you out of your room unattended? Anyway, I'm guessing ujoint unless you slipped a belt on a tire.

Hey, at least he blames himself. Not too smart, but he sounds like a nice, ethical guy. I've got a spare driveshaft I'll let go for next to nothing, first bid over $300. And a good tranny for $600.

He must have meant, first bid over $3.

You can have your driveshaft completely rebuilt and balanced for less than $150.
