Thats style is wack.

Nothing like adding another 10 pounds of weight 3 feet higher than your car.

It's not actually an "old school" style. It's more like an extreme, stand out style called Bosozoku style, originated as most are, in Japan. You see it a lot on sedans. Flashy graphics, wheels that stick out 5 inches, and those gnarly pipes sitting 2 feet over the roofline. I personally can't stand it. I like the understated look more.

I'd seen "Bozo" stuff before, but yeah, my point was, it's not "old school;" it's a pretty recent style.

And I don't see the appeal, either.

Found the video. It is Takeyari's old SA. IIRC this is what he drove in the early to mid 80's. He started out as a RX-7 enthusiast, then became a professional driver for Mazda in the 90's, and I think he now drives for toyota, or at least he used to. I think he used to drive the GT500 Supra for Toyota in the late 90's... not quite sure...

Trust me the idiots were doing it back in the early 80's when I first got to okinawa, they were collectively called Bozo zoku which at the time denoted a hooligan on wheels..not a good designation to get back then. now days its enjoying a resurgance as being old school japan amongst some of the 20_25 y/o crowd, plus a few 40+ers that are having midlife crisis

when I see one of the guys my age step out of one i LMAO its so funny its like a religious experience. I laugh so hard i almost pass out from lack of O2 now if I could just find a way to play pocket pool at the (what am i saying david carradine aybody?)

I cant stand that style, its way to gaudy for me. I used to think the ricer kids around here were bad... pretty tolerable after seeing what the bosozoku crow can accomplish.
