Cooper Cobra Radial G/Ts...

hey everyone, i've started looking for new tires for my 81 GS. Don't worry this isn't a where do I find tires thread becaues i know they are hard to find.

After calling every tire store in Toronto i finally found someone who has Cooper Cobra Radial GTs in a 205/60 T R13. I can't find too much info about this tire so i was wondering if anyone has had any experience with it or knows if its a good tire. It will be for street use, but i drive the car fairly agressivly.

The car has a 13b 4-port with a complete custome exhaust. Thats pretty much it.

Thanks

I have run a set of Yokohama 13" tires before. They are out the AVS line. I was happy with those. They had a higher speed rating than normal pass. car tires and had a much stiffer sidewall.

How much are the Coopers? Check out tirerack.com too. I just got some 205/60/13 Sumitomo HTR 200s from them and I'm pretty happy with them. Total cost with shipping for four tires was a few cents over $200.00 Of course, installation was extra...

they want $115/tire installed for the Coopers.

I was thinking about the Sumitomo HTR 200s. A major issue with those is that i'd have to get them shipped to someone in buffalo and pick them up there. i guess for the money i can't go wrong, not to say it isn't a good tire or anything, but if the Coopers aren't anything special (or worse) then maybe my next question should be...who lives in buffalo? lol

Well, I had CCs on my '73 240Z and they were alright I guess. Nice tire and all that, but for 115 bucks each? I'd keep on shopping if I were you...

You can have the tires shipped over the border. It'll cost a little more, but IMO its worth it. Tire rack's prices are great. I ordered a set of rims for my old T-Bird, 16x7 Sport Edition E1's for about $500 shipped to my door. The brokerage that UPS charged me was unreal, but I got them within a week of ordering. UPS charged me $140.
