coils and resistance question; using my multimeter?
Hi guys
I just checked both my coils tonight, after removing them.
It seems I'm not getting a good reading. I know the resistance is supposed to be about 1.3 ohms +/- 10%.
Well I hook up to the positive and negative terminals, and the numbers dance for a couple seconds then goes to zero.
Does this mean my coils are shot? Funny because I tried it a 3rd spare and still got nothing. Or am I ignorant on how to use a multimeter.
Seems straightforward; I got zero with all units.
A walk-thru for my dumbass maybe?
Thanks
P.S. I did file down the tabs; they were fairly corroded. so I should at least get a better connection now.

If you have a digital multimeter, try setting your multimeter's range manually. When I measured mine, they were constant, did not fluctuate at all. Perhaps you are not making good contact.
