Clutch Question

Should there be any play in the arm connected to the throw-out bearing once the tranny and engine are mated?

How much play are we talking about? Have you tried the clutch yet, and it doesn't work?

the clutch works fine, just had been told that it should release and pull the throw-out bearing away from the plate. and mine feels solid so I was worried about wear.
