Clutch Pedal Suggestions...

Super Angel-Eyes Atomic Neon Blue or standard black rubber covers?

j/k....OK, I have a question and two searches brought up nothing using "squeaky clutch pedal" and "squeeky clutch pedal", so I'm tossing this question out there. About a month ago, the clutch pedal started this little squeak every time I pressed it to the floor. Now that mouse is a big rat and very annoying. The squeak starts after only an inch or so of pedal travel.

Before I go in there with spray, grease or whatever, I'd like to hear from the folks who had this problem and solved it, and how long that solution lasted.

if you only **** when you hit the buzzer it kinda drowns out the squeak. mine has done it since i bought the car. just hit it with some grease or wd-40

Haven't had the problem, but the white lithium grease in an areosol can should do the trick.

---->darkfrost....how long ago was that?

What I'm trying to avoid is some kind of monthly ritual. Obviously, that pedal is not supposed to squeak, so something has worn out. Before I do the usual, painful body contortions to get my head down there and see what looks "broke", I was hoping to glean some knowledge from someone who's "been there, done that."

iirc there is a little plastic bushing on both the clutch and brake pedal up top on the long bolt they pivot on, chances are it has worn and thus started squeaking. As the others said i'd just lube it up with some white lithium, that does a pretty good job of staying around fora good amount of time, avoiding the monthly ritual as you put it

The squeak started about 3-4 months ago. After a week of it, just sprayed it and hasn't surfaced. At least not yet.

Yeah, you have to use something that will stick around. WD-40 is not a grease, it's a penetrating oil... so it's job is to penetrate and not really to lubricate for long periods.

I use white grease (literally, that's what the spray can says "White Grease"). Lithium grease should be basically the same thing. Just some spray-on grease, so that it isn't thin and doesn't wear out as quickly.
