Clutch noise identification...

Hey guys.

For about two weeks now, there is a wierd noise in the trans/clutch area. When under load (mostly 2nd and up) there is a clanking sound....sometimes when you let off it makes that quick squeeky sound...wreek, wreek, wreek.... Starting off occassionally makes the clank as well. The car shifts fine and the trans was put in a few months back. The TO seemed fine, as did the pilot (around 9,000 miles on both), so I re-lubed and left 'em alone.

Does a bad pressure plate make wierd noises? Hoping I don't have to do the pilot bearing again....

suggestions?

Jaime
