Clutch, just weird. Know nothing

Umm... yeah, My clutch has been acting weird lately.
I'll push it down and I'll let off like a millimeter and it will automatically catch and will be stuck to the ground.
After take off I just shift without my clutch

Help please.

Clutch slave and or master cylinder. Replace or re-build both.

WHen that happened to me in my 84 12a i replaced the master slave with a rebuilt and the thing sucked after 2 weeks. The spring kept getting stuck. So id recommend the new master slave. The new one is still running now after a year. However if it is not the master try the slave. I just bought new since it was only like 10 dollars more than the rebuilt kit. What rebuild for only 10 dollars but its your choice. Good luck with everything.

I don't use ebay so I can't check that for you. Usually when purchasing a clutch, it is a clutch kit. Comes with throw out brg, pilot brg, pressure plate, clutch plate, and alignment tool.

You should be able to do it in about 5hours depending on a few things. Have you ever done one before? If not it could take 2 days. Took me 3 days, but I had to tow the car in the middle of the project, and then purchase a dremal to cut the pilot brg out.

Ok, on with it! 1) floor jack. Should be a good one because you have to get the car pretty high to get under it and get the tranny out.
2) jack stands. 4 of them.
3) bearing puller. Go to auto zone and get one then cut it down with a grinder. That is what Carl did and it worked for him. Don't get one of the cheap ones it won't work.
4)assorted wrenches. I suppose you have tools
5)A friend to help you would be nice.

The fuel filter is in the rear of the car on the drivers side by the tire. It has a fuel line in and one out. It is black and has a strap going around it.
I think that should just about do it to get you started.

Above all remember this: cars are a JOY to work on, therefore when you get pissed off get out from under it and drink a cold one cool off. Enjoy and have fun.

Hey Brianhsval.
Thanks For Everything I Will Work To See What I Have To Do. Acutally Just Got To Ebay And Put The Item Number Under The Search Screen. Even If You Dont Have A User Name Or Anything. I Have 2 Things That I Have To Fix On My Car, One Is The Clutch Cuase It Seems To Slip And 2 When Its Cold Or When I Go Over 80 And Stp On The Gas It Sputters, So I Feel It Might Be The Filter. I Also Want To Put The Rear Of And 85 With Rear Disc. Is That A Pain In The *** Too? Let Me Know If Im Bugging You With All These Question.,
Thank Alot.

We did this to my car this past weekend...grinding the puller attachment worked for us...only a little grinding is needed to do the job and autozone didn't even notice when i returned it

if that clutch is 225mm then it will work. but if its 215mm it wont without replacing with an aftermarket flywheel and such.

dont buy stuff on ebay if some1 says it might fit. you could of just wasted 41 dollars + shipping for nothing.
